This Wayzata landscape design has the one thing NEC can’t build: an amazing view! Of course, this vista from up above Long Lake in Wayzata, MN, a western suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota, had to be a focal point of the landscape design. The team created a series of spaces that move the family down to the water, while managing the slope through native plantings. The upper deck is the outdoor “living room,” while the patio at ground level provides a more private and relaxing spot to sip wine. The lower beach is an ideal setting for enjoying our Minnesota summers. Natural stone and native plantings provide warmth and year-round appeal to the homeowners as well as habitat for the area’s wildlife.
